At Won Wellness we are joining the Dry July “movement” as part of our self-care and awareness. The foundation gives advice for people who tend to deal with stress with a drink or two to unwind at the end of the day. Whether that’s you or someone you know, here are some useful tips to manage the end of the day without alcohol during July!

Increase your self-awareness. The “buzz” word is “Mindfulness”. I like to write that word a little differently, so it looks and sounds like this “mind FULLness”. This empowers us to be fully aware of what is going on in our mind.

Techniques such as focused breathing [prana], meditation, walking in nature, massage, yoga, qi-gong etc. are all things we can do to ease the pressure in our minds and replace that with calming thoughts.

Spend time doing things which you find relaxing, calming, and allow you to feel good about yourself e.g. friends, movies, exercise, ringing relatives you haven’t seen or spoken to in a while.
